RANDI Kemmler aka boy Randi, leader, Volunteers Committee

I am many things. I am not easily placed in a box. I am an educator through and through.  I am shy and quiet but also outgoing and rambunctious. I am scared when I think about certain parts of my life, but I know that the fear will subside as the days move forward and I keep doing the next right thing.

Sometimes I take life too seriously, sometimes not seriously enough. Life is a pendulum and I’m along for the ride. So far, it’s a most enjoyable experience.

I am the Sponsorship Chairperson for SouthEast LeatherFest – perhaps you may have heard me mention it a time or two. I’m always looking for new sponsors, so if it’s something you’d like to consider, please drop me a line.  Check out our website,   www.seleatherfest.com

I have two associates degrees in Liberal Arts and a Bachelors in Social Sciences. I earned my M. Ed. In Higher Education Administration from UNCG and my passion is education. I have a wonderful dog named Lorrie and a cat named Parker. My life is better, not just because of people I have known, but also because of the fur babies that have graced my world.

I have a favorite quote that has seen me through some difficult times: “Our magnificent flaws are the very foundation of forward movement. In accepting flaws and understanding their magnificence we learn that we don’t need perfection, we need production. We learn that each effort was good enough as it took us one step closer to success.” Catherine Gross

In Memorium, Forever in Our Hearts — Will Brame and Queen Raini

We light a candle for two Board members

WILLIAM Brame

b. 1960 – d. 2021

William Brame was destined for odd employment and peculiar occupations. He stubbornly persisted in toe-walking to the beat of a different drummer.  His devotion to his wife and slave were unparalleled, as was his wit and intelligence.

He was variously a muleskinner, logger, carpenter, landscaper, bouncer, researcher, archaeologist, writer, editor and nipple clamp crafter, and those were only the jobs he talked about until he became a co-founder and chef for a Keto food company in the last 3 years of his life.

He wrote smut for Bob Guccione and edited for the Turner Tomorrow Awards in the 1980s.  Books include Different Loving and Different Loving Too, written with his wife, Gloria Brame.  He also co-authored a novel, Children of the Ice (under the pen name, Charlotte Prentiss), with Charles Platt.  He co-hosted BDSM events at the Vault (NYC) and Paddles (NYC) in the early 1990s, and gave presentations, workshops and demos at kink conferences from 1989 to the early 2000s.

Will is missed passionately by his life-partners.  He is forever with us in love.

QUEEN Raini, co-leader, BDSM Organizations Committee

b. 1967 – d. 2019

Queen Raini was a Dominant Leather Woman/Master/Queen with 30 + years of experience in the lifestyle. Her personal goal was to promote diversity and education amongst kink and leather communities.

Her passions included helping kinksters to add sanity and creativity to any scene, helping crossdressers discover and experience their “Inner Diva”, and initiating/mentoring the curious and newbies into the lifestyle, all in a safe and non-judgmental way.

Raini firmly believed there is no “one true way” to be kinky. No matter what steps you may take, you are on your personal Leather Journey.

A devoted wife to her husband James Rawley, a wonderful friend, and a brilliant, playful woman, Raini is deeply missed in Her communities and by everyone who had the privilege of being close to her.
