We’re growing in happy little splurts every week. Ooooh. We must be excited!
Today, we are welcoming 3 new educators and 1 new group to our directories. Warm congrats to newly accepted BED educators Sir Jah, James Ross Rawley, and Domina Katonika. Each of them brings a different and informed perspective on WIITWD. Also congrats to Pan Eros from Washington State for being accepted to BED’s group directory.
I think one of my favorite things about watching the directory grow is how different each BED Educator is. Everyone brings a unique personal style and point of view on a wide gamut of BDSM/kinky-related subjects. There are educators who are experienced with techniques and toys; there are educators who focus on guiding people safely through our worlds; educators who speak directly to minority experiences within the BDSM worlds; educators who are devoted to self-growth and relationship enrichment through BDSM; while still others are scholars who have made it their mission to disseminate their knowledge and theories from years of academic and clinical research. When you see their accomplishments, you’ll be amazed by the breadth and depth of BED’s Professional Educators!
Even though we’re small, we are already achieving our goal of diversity. Each of our educators has unique interests and skill-sets. They come from different backgrounds, genders, sexual orientations, fetish interests, ages, abilities, and ethnicities. As a group, they exemplify BED’s goals: to create a professional directory that fosters a reality-based, inclusive and intersectional BDSM world. And not just in North America but everywhere that kinky people play, learn, and love.
I mean, imagine if BDSM leaders, thinkers, and teachers — and the millions of people around the globe who support their work — got into BED with us! We are working to make BED a hub for everyone who is sincerely working on making our Community a kinder, smarter and safer space for all. We are humbled and honored that so many fine people have already joined this project.
We urge you to support our work by sharing our posts and links throughout your communities, applying for a listing, and/or volunteering to work with us. We can use all the skills you’ve got. If you’re good with coding or fund-raising, omg, we really need you. Drop me an email at gloria@gloriabrame.com.
If you run a club or business, you can help us grow by becoming an early sponsor. Please consider signing on for a linked banner or image to show your support. The Board of BED just approved an “early bird special.” This is a sweet deal for businesses or groups to lock in a low annual rate for our upcoming sponsors’ page. Every dollar we earn will go back into BED to keep building our resources for the BDSM/Fetish/Leather Communities. Write the Educatrix at gloria@gloriabrame.com and let’s talk about how your ad or sponsorship can help us grow.
