A lot has happened since yesterday when I bravely asked my FB friends to recommend BDSM-themed videos to add to our Music Library.  OMG.  I came back to find a tsunami of sexy suggestions!

My friends volunteered so many great links that I went right back to developing the page this afternoon.  I selected the best of the best of their suggestions, plus threw in a couple of corny kink classics like The Village People’s YMCA and Devo’s Whip It for lolz.   Now there are 18 tasty BDSM-themed music videos (all on youtube, so all of them SFW or play), starting with the Masochism Tango from 1959 up to Rihanna in 2011 in our Music Library, with a little corn and a lotta punk and metal in between.   Rock on, rebels!!

BED’s Library is and will always be a free resource for you, whether you’re a student, educator or someone who just loves to learn and immerse themselves in BDSM culture.  Use our materials to liven up classes, workshops, events, and play spaces — including your private ones.

Educators’ Tips

We have enough content now to help you create new classes with our Library resources.

  • Teach about the important role that music has played in popularizing BDSM and stretching the boundaries of public acceptance through music.
  • Use our historic photos to illustrate that BDSM has been photographed since the invention of the camera and has always been a legitimate expression of human sexuality.
  • Use essays from the Reading Library as take-off points to write and teach about education, inclusivity, Community ethos, and BDSM group management.
  • Send students here to get fresh perspectives on BDSM history and lifestyle through the ages.
  • We’ve just started building!  We’ll be expanding hugely over time and hope to be your number one stop for teaching materials.

Bookmark the BED Library, and enlighten your students, friends and Leather Family with the incredibly diverse documented history of BDSM/Fetish and Kink.
